In PRTR-España is published the information on industrial emission and waste off-site transfers according the Spanish Royal Decree 508/2007: Annex I (Industrial activities), Annex II (pollutants, environmental media and public information thresholds) and Annex III (basic format for notification).

All published information have been revised and validated by the correspondent competent authority (mainly Autonomous Governments and National Water Authorities).

Regarding off-site waste transfers, information is published if the quantity of all hazardous waste is over 2 tonnes per year or if the quantity of non hazardous waste is over 2,000 tonnes per year (RD. 508/2007).

As a general rule, all the aggregated information such as activities, pollutants, etc. is offered in tonne/year (t/y). The information of emissions at facility level is given in kilogram/year. The information on waste at facility level is given in t/y.
